Savage Red 2024

Now a varietal Syrah – it included other things in the past – this superb red uses grapes from Kuils River and the nearby Polkadraai Hills in Stellenbosch. Fermented with 70% whole clusters before ageing in older barrels and foudres, it’s very much a northern Rhône style, with top notes of white pepper and lavender, savoury tannins, flavours of blackcurrant and fennel and a hint of cola.
