Damascene Swartland Syrah 2025

From three separate vineyards on schist. 75% whole-bunch fermentation. Matured for 10 months in 2,000-litre foudre. Red and black berries, orange, fynbos, cinnamon and pepper on the nose. Fruit is to the fore on the palate without being facile – succulent and fresh, with powdery tannins. Generous and open-knit, with plenty of flavour and an easy, natural flow, finishing nicely dry. Alc: 13.11%.
