From three Bottelary vineyards planted in 1972, 1981 and 1982 respectively. Matured for 10 months in 1,000-litre foudre. Expressive aromatics of honeysuckle, herbs, peach, apricot, soft citrus and leesy complexity. The palate is surprisingly rich but certainly not listless, combining generous fruit with tangy acidity before a gently savoury finish. Concentrated, substantial, harmonious and satisfying – a lot of wine. Alc: 12.36%.
