Alheit Monument Semillon 2025

Grapes from a Franschhoek vineyard planted in 1936. Fermented and matured for 18 months in old barrels. The nose is subtle yet intricate, revealing hay, herbs, fresh dough, peach, apple, a hint of citrus, beeswax and white pepper. The palate is quite broad and creamy,  underpinned by coated acidity before a gently savoury finish. Restrained rather than showy, it impresses with its impeccable balance. Alc: 13.5%
