The second instalment in Tamdhu’s Quercus Alba Distinction series, Edition 2 further explores the expressive influence of first-fill American white oak (Quercus alba) sherry casks. These unique casks begin their journey in North America, undergo a six-year maturation in Spain’s sherry triangle, and then return to Speyside for finishing. The outcome is a refined, richly sherried single malt with nuanced oak character and exceptional drinkability.

Nose: Warming malt and vanilla meld with spiced oak, then reveal vibrant notes of orange zest and cooling mint. A harmonious balance between richness and lift.

Palate: Velvety and indulgent. Flavours of soft oak, damsons, and dark chocolate combine with a luxurious mouthfeel—each sip layered and complex.

Finish: Long and gracefully lingering. The influence of sherried oak extends beautifully into notes of figs and golden syrup—an elegant, dessert-like expression.
