Lammershoek Terravinum Reserve Syrah
IN THE VINEYARD & VINIFICATION
Farmed dry-land, thus not irrigated. Selected from various sites on the farm. The Syrah bush vines are aged between 15-40 years. Handpicked early in the morning the grapes were hand sorted and all “under ripe” bunches were removed. The grapes were partially whole-bunch fermented and the remainder destemmed. Fermented in a vast variety of foudre’s, big French oak barrels and concrete tanks.
Fruity berry flavours being prominent with hints of dark chocolate and spice.
Structured yet elegant mouthfeel with well integrated tannins. Juicy palate with aromas of berries being prominent. The natural acidity lends a freshness to this wine.
